United States Postal Service Construction
Midland Retail is excited to announce that it will begin construction shortly on a new project for the Federal Government. The company recently signed a long term lease with the United States Postal Service for property it has acquired in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. The Post Office will be relocating its outdated branch to this new facility that will be built and owned by Midland and their partners at Rookwood Properties. The build-to-suit development should be completed in the fall of 2010.

Chipotle relocating in Kettering
The partners at Midland Retail and Rookwood Properties recently closed on land in Kettering and have begun construction of a freestanding Chipotle Mexican Grill. Chipotle will be relocating from their current unit which is just north on Far Hills Avenue. The company signed a 10 year lease and will open their new location later this summer.

Chik-fil-A to open in Florence
Chick-fil-A signed a 20 year lease with Midland Retail for a 1.6 acre outparcel that the company purchased in March 2009. The outparcel is located on Houston Road adjacent to Midland Retail's Houston Road Shoppes. The restaurant will start construction in May with a planned opening in September. This will be Chick-fil-A's 5th freestanding restaurant in greater Cincinnati.

Eastgate Panera/City BBQ Development

Midland Retail is under construction on their newest east side development in Union Township which will be a Panera Bread/City BBQ combo building. The company purchased a 1 acre outparcel in front of the Meijer Store in Eastgate and will be completing construction on the 7,875 sf building in late September. This will be the 19th Panera store in Greater Cincinnati and the 3rd location for City BBQ.
