Scott Katz - President
As the founder and President of Midland Retail, Katz oversees all operations for the company. With extensive experience in all aspects of retail development and brokerage, Katz has spearheaded numerous retail development projects and has completed in excess of 600 transactions. Through his guidance, Midland Retail has coordinated the regional rollout of many chains such as Panera Bread, Chipotle, Ruby Tuesday, Great Clips and Boston Market, to name a few.
Previously, Katz co-founded Midland Atlantic Properties and was a vice president of the Midland Development Group prior to its acquisition by Regency Centers.
Katz is currently a board member of Entrepreneurs Organization and Wise Temple, and a committee member of Camp Livingston. He is also a member of ICSC and a licensed broker in Ohio and Kentucky. |

Casey Ward - Partner
As a Partner at Midland Retail, Ward co-directs the company's growing brokerage operations and neighborhood developments. His career began in 1996 with the Midland Development Group. Following their acquisition by Regency Centers in 1997, he was an original member of the Midland Atlantic Properties team when it was formed in 1998. While at Midland Atlantic, Ward was consistently the company's top broker and served as Vice President from 2002 until the formation of Midland Retail in 2008.
Throughout his career, he has specialized in tenant representation and property disposition having completed over 300 career transactions. That body of work includes directing the local rollouts of Chipotle, Potbelly and Gold's Gym (Urban Active) while also completing over $35MM in disposition transactions. Recently, Ward has supervised the development of several neighborhood retail centers in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. As Midland Retail evolves, Ward will focus on growing company owned developments while continuing to work with longtime restaurant, disposition and landlord clients.
Ward is a member of ICSC. He is a licensed Broker in the State of Ohio and a licensed Salesperson in the State of Kentucky. |
